A recall has been issued for a small batch of electric pressure washers sold on Amazon after safety officials determined the devices pose a potentially deadly shock hazard.
DGIVOVO US announced on April 30, 2026, that it is recalling 50 of its electric pressure washers because they lack a built-in ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI), a critical safety feature designed to prevent electrocution.
Missing safety feature raises serious concerns
According to the recall notice, the absence of a GFCI means users could face a “serious risk of injury or death from shock and electrocution hazards,” particularly when operating the washers around water.
The recall affects DGIVOVO US-branded pressure washers, model number C4012PLUS-1500C. The units are compact - measuring roughly seven inches high, nine inches wide, and eight inches deep - and were sold in red, green, or blue with black accents.
Each unit came equipped with a 500 ml spray can attachment, foam cannon, four connect nozzles, a 20-foot hose, and two rollers. The model number can be found on a label on the back of the machine.
Sold online in recent months
The recalled pressure washers were sold exclusively on Amazon.com between October 2025 and January 2026 for about $90. The importer and retailer is Ningbopingyao E-Commerce Ltd., doing business as DGIVOVO US, based in China.
No injuries reported yet
As of the recall announcement, no incidents or injuries have been reported. However, regulators stress that the risk remains significant due to the nature of the defect.
What consumers should do
Consumers are urged to stop using the pressure washers immediately.
To receive a replacement of equal or greater value, customers must first destroy the unit by unplugging it and cutting the power cord in half. They are then required to email a photo of the destroyed product to dgivovo@163.com before properly disposing of it.
For further assistance, consumers can contact DGIVOVO US directly via email.
The recall has been assigned number 26-452.
