Original Tommy’s Celebrates 80 Years With 80-Cent Chili Cheeseburgers

Original Tommy’s is celebrating its 80th anniversary by offering 80-cent World-Famous Chili Cheeseburgers for one day only on Friday, May 15, from noon to 8 p.m.

The deal will be available at all Original Tommy’s locations, with a limit of three chili cheeseburgers per customer.

The chain will also host a larger anniversary celebration at its original “Shack” location at Beverly and Rampart in Los Angeles. Festivities are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. with a performance from the Belmont High School Marching Band, followed by live DJ entertainment throughout the day.

As part of the event, Assemblymember Mark Gonzalez will present the Koulax family with a resolution recognizing 80 years of business in California. Original Tommy’s will also present checks to the Belmont High School Marching Band and InsideOut Writers during the celebration.

Founded in 1946 by Tommy Koulax, Original Tommy’s built its reputation on chili-topped burgers, fries, hot dogs, and other fast-food staples. The chain currently operates 32 locations across Southern California and Nevada.
