Walmart is recalling one lot of bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter after routine testing found possible Salmonella contamination.
The recall covers 6.7-ounce (190g) jars with UPC 194346207961, lot code LB028ACP04, and a best by date of January 28, 2027. No other lots are included in the recall.
The affected product was sold exclusively at Walmart stores in 19 states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, and Wyoming.
According to the recall notice, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services detected Salmonella after testing three jars collected during a routine inspection at a Walmart store. No illnesses have been reported.
Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In some cases, especially among young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems, the infection can become more serious.
Customers who purchased bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter with lot code LB028ACP04 should not eat it and should return it to Walmart for a full refund.
