KFC Unveils New Sauces, Drinks, and Restaurant Designs in Global Brand Refresh

KFC is rolling out a major global update with new chicken options, more sauces, expanded beverage offerings, and a fresh restaurant look as it looks to stand out in the increasingly crowded chicken fast food category.

According to KFC Global CEO Scott Mezvinsky, the company sees an opportunity to become the leader in modern quick-service chicken while building on what has made the brand famous for decades.

More Boneless Chicken and Sauces

One of the biggest changes is a new focus on boneless chicken. KFC plans to expand its lineup of tenders and other boneless menu items with a new collection of more than 20 sauces. The sauce lineup includes both updated takes on classic flavors and internationally inspired options. Examples shared by the company include Chimichurri Ranch and Hot Honey Habanero.

The chain is also pushing more sauce-covered menu items under a new "Dunked" platform. These offerings feature tenders, wings, and sandwiches coated in sauce for a messier, flavor-packed eating experience. Dunked items are already available in South Africa and India.

KWENCH Drinks Continue to Grow

On the beverage side, KFC is growing its KWENCH by KFC platform. The drink lineup includes Boba Refreshers, Krunch Shakes, Sparkling Lemonades, and Iced Coffees. After testing in select locations in the UK and Ireland, KWENCH is set to become a permanent menu platform in Australia and Canada later this year.

In the UK and Ireland, KFC plans to introduce new chicken tenders and nine new sauces in the coming weeks. The company will also update its branding across digital channels and marketing materials. Similar launches are expected in Australia and the United States, with additional markets joining through 2026.

New Restaurant Designs on the Way

Beyond the menu, KFC is preparing a new generation of restaurant designs that focus more on hospitality and creating different experiences throughout the day.

The first examples include a new open-concept restaurant in McKinney, Texas, expected to open in late summer, and a two-story flagship-style location in Dubai scheduled to open this fall.

Refreshed Branding

KFC is also refreshing its visual identity. The company says its iconic bucket will receive an updated look, while Colonel Sanders will see subtle changes as part of the brand's updated appearance. The refreshed branding will appear across packaging, advertising, digital platforms, and restaurants.

The updates come as KFC continues to grow worldwide. The chain currently operates more than 34,000 restaurants across over 150 countries.
