Stop & Shop is celebrating National Ice Cream Day with the return of its free ice cream giveaway while also kicking off a summer-long promotion featuring hundreds of items priced at $1 or less.
From July 17 through July 23, 2026, GO Rewards members can score a free 1.5-quart container of Stop & Shop brand ice cream by checking in at an in-store Savings Station kiosk. No purchase is required, and the offer is limited to one free tub per household while supplies last.
The free ice cream offer includes all 15 store brand flavors:

- Moose Tracks
- Chocolate

Customers who check in with their GO Rewards account during the promotion automatically receive a digital coupon that can be redeemed for a free container from the freezer aisle. Shoppers who aren't already members can sign up for GO Rewards at the kiosk.
Alongside the giveaway, Stop & Shop is rolling out Dollar Deals from July 10 through August 6, with weekly rotating offers on groceries, beverages, snacks, fresh produce, and household essentials.
Examples of this year's $1 deals include Barilla pasta, Hunt's pasta sauce, chicken drums and thighs for $1 per pound, hothouse cucumbers, tomatoes on the vine, Pringles Grab & Go cans, Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kids theater boxes, jumbo cookies, Hershey's chocolate bars, marshmallows, Gatorade, Powerade, Poland Spring sparkling water, Lipton drinks, paper towels, bath tissue, dish soap, Crest toothpaste, Oral-B toothbrushes, Goya beans, coconut water, and Maria and Palmerita cookies.
Dollar Deal items will rotate weekly, with products marked throughout stores and available online during the promotion.
