Golden Link is recalling about 55,350 Fantastic Four drinking cups and Captain America popcorn helmet containers with LED lights because their button cell batteries can be easily accessed by children, creating a risk of serious injury or death if swallowed.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled products violate federal safety standards for products containing button cell and coin batteries. They also lack the warning labels required under Reese's Law.
The recall includes:
- Fantastic Four Invisible Woman LED drinking cups in blue
- Fantastic Four Human Torch LED drinking cups in red
- Captain America LED popcorn helmet containers in navy blue and silver
The souvenir items were sold at movie theaters during promotional runs for the films. The Fantastic Four cups were available at AMC Theatres nationwide from March through April 2025 for about $15. The Captain America popcorn helmet containers were sold at AMC and other theater chains nationwide from February through August 2025 for about $30.
No injuries or incidents have been reported.
Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately and contact Golden Link for a full refund. To receive the refund, consumers must dispose of the product and email a photo showing proof of disposal to the company.
Button cell batteries can cause severe internal burns and can be fatal if swallowed. Consumers should dispose of or recycle the batteries according to local hazardous waste guidelines.
