General Mills Launches Limited-Time Super Mario Galaxy Movie Cereals, Cookies, and Fruit Roll-Ups Ahead of April 2026 Film Release


General Mills is releasing a lineup of limited-time snacks inspired by Nintendo and Illumination’s The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

The themed products arrive ahead of the film’s U.S. theatrical release on April 1, 2026, and feature familiar characters and space-themed designs.

The new products will be available at retailers nationwide, with a couple of items offered exclusively at Walmart.

New Super Mario Galaxy Movie-Themed Snacks

The launch includes three limited-time products designed to bring the movie theme to everyday snacks at home:

  • Lucky Charms Strawberry Cereal with Galactic Marshmallows, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Edition
    Strawberry-coated cereal pieces are paired with space-themed marshmallows shaped like planets and stars.

  • Pillsbury Ready to Bake! Yoshi Shape Sugar Cookie Dough
    Ready-to-bake cookie dough inspired by Yoshi eggs that bakes into Yoshi-shaped sugar cookies.

  • Fruit Roll-Ups Variety Pack
    Includes Strawberry Blast, Tropical Tie-Dye, and Blue Razzberry flavors. Each package also features movie-themed tongue tattoos for a playful element during snack time.

Walmart-Exclusive Items

Walmart will also carry two exclusive items tied to the movie:

  • Trix Blue Raspberry Cereal, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Edition
    Blue raspberry flavored corn puffs designed with a cosmic theme.

  • Super Mario Mystery Box
    Available on Walmart.com, the collectible Yoshi egg container opens to reveal a 6-ounce pouch of Blue Raspberry Trix cereal.

More Movie-Themed Products and Activities

General Mills says more than 100 participating products across brands like Betty Crocker, Old El Paso, Nature Valley, and Totino’s will feature tie-ins to the movie.

Fans can also visit ItsGalaxyTime.com for themed activities, film-inspired content, and more than 20 recipes made with General Mills products.

Nintendo and Illumination’s The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on April 1, 2026.

Limited-time products will be available while supplies last.
