Panera Launches Two New Drink Lines And a Surprise Cookie


Panera Bread is rolling out two new premium beverage categories nationwide with the introduction of
 Frescas and Energy Refreshers. The drinks are made in bakery-cafes and feature real fruit and fruit-forward flavors.

The new lineup includes caffeinated Energy Refreshers and caffeine-free Frescas. According to the chain, the drinks are produced as premium specialty beverages and include both fruit-based flavors and coffee alternatives.

Energy Refreshers (Caffeinated)

  • Dragonfruit Sunset Energy Refresher
    A blend of pineapple and tropical dragonfruit flavors with dragonfruit pieces.

    • About 28 mg caffeine in a 20-oz cup (with ice)

    • About 42 mg caffeine in a 30-oz cup (with ice)

  • Passionfruit Paradise Energy Refresher
    A blend of passionfruit, guava, and orange flavors with fresh pineapple.

    • About 28 mg caffeine in a 20-oz cup (with ice)

    • About 44 mg caffeine in a 30-oz cup (with ice)

Frescas (Caffeine-Free)

  • Cherry Lime Fresca
    Cherry and lime flavors with tart cherries.

  • Strawberry Basil Lemonade Fresca
    A mix of Agave Lemonade and strawberry fruit puree with fresh strawberries and basil. This flavor is returning to the menu.

Alongside the beverage launch, Panera is also adding a new bakery item.

New Bakery Item

  • Dubai Style Chocolate Pistachio Cookie
    A chocolate cookie filled with pistachio cream, drizzled with chocolate sauce, and topped with crunchy pistachio pieces.

Panera says the new drinks and cookie are available now at bakery-cafes nationwide for dine-in, drive-thru, delivery, and Rapid Pick-Up through the Panera app or website.

Energy Refreshers contain caffeine and are not recommended for children, people sensitive to caffeine, or those who are pregnant or nursing.
