McDonald’s Debuts Six New Specialty Drinks Nationwide Starting May 6

McDonald’s adds 6 new drinks to menus nationwide

Cold drinks are getting a bigger spotlight at McDonald's. The company is introducing a new lineup of specialty beverages across the U.S., giving you more options beyond its usual sodas and iced drinks.

Starting May 6, the chain will roll out six new drinks, including three fruit-based refreshers and three flavored sodas. The drinks will be a permanent addition at participating locations nationwide.

The new lineup includes:

  • Strawberry Watermelon Refresher: lemonade with strawberry and watermelon flavors, plus freeze-dried strawberries
  • Mango Pineapple Refresher: lemonade with mango and pineapple flavors, along with strawberry popping boba
  • Blackberry Passion Fruit Refresher: lemonade with blackberry and passion fruit flavors, plus freeze-dried dragon fruit
  • Sprite Berry Blast: Sprite with blue raspberry syrup and cold foam
  • Orange Dream: a mix of Hi-C Orange Lavaburst and vanilla flavor, topped with cold foam
  • Dirty Dr Pepper: Dr Pepper with added vanilla flavor and cold foam

Some drinks include add-ons like popping boba, freeze-dried fruit, and cold foam, which are more common in specialty beverages. The three refresher drinks contain caffeine.

Alongside the drinks, McDonald’s is also releasing limited-edition beaded drink carriers in partnership with Susan Alexandra. The carriers will be sold online starting May 6 and include a $10 McDonald’s Arch Card while supplies last.

The company says the expanded drink lineup gives customers more variety and another reason to visit for beverages as well as food.
