Whataburger Launches Kids' Whatameal Boxes with Games & Stickers

Whataburger is giving its Kids Whatameal a new look and feel, adding interactive packaging and collectible toys aimed at making meals more engaging for younger customers.

Starting Tuesday, May 5, the chain will roll out updated Kids Whatameal boxes across its locations. The meals will now come in bright orange-and-white packaging that includes games, mazes and other activities printed directly on the box.

Each Kids Whatameal will also include a surprise gift or toy. The first wave features branded sticker packs with five different designs for kids to collect. The company says new surprise items will continue to rotate throughout the year.

“At Whataburger, some of the best memories are made around the table,” said Scott Hudler, chief marketing officer at Whataburger. “This new Kids Whatameal brings a little more fun to those moments.”

The core meal options are not changing. Kids Whatameals will still include familiar items such as:

  • Justaburger
  • Whatachick’n Strips (2-piece)
  • Whatachick’n Bites (4-piece)
  • Grilled Cheese

Sides and extras also remain the same, including a small French fry or Mott’s applesauce pouch, a kid’s drink, and a dessert item.

Pricing for the Kids Whatameal will range from $3.89 to $6.49, depending on the entrée selected.

The updated meals will be available at all participating Whataburger locations, which operate across more than a dozen U.S. states.
