Firehouse Subs to Give Free Steak & Cheese Melts to Anyone Named Mike on May 6

Firehouse Subs Steak Cheese Melt Mike Offer

Firehouse Subs is running a one-day giveaway aimed at anyone with a name in the “Mike” family.

On Wednesday, May 6, you can get a free medium Steak & Cheese Melt at participating U.S. locations if your name is Mike, Michael, Mikey, Miguel, Michelle, Michele, or Michaela. No purchase is required, but you will need to show a valid government-issued ID with a qualifying name.

The offer is limited to one free sub per person for that day only.

The Steak & Cheese Melt is a newer menu item. It includes USDA Choice prime rib, provolone cheese, caramelized onions with brown sugar, and red and green bell peppers on the brand’s top-cut roll.

A medium sandwich contains about 42 grams of protein, according to the company.

Firehouse Subs President Mike Hancock said the company sees the sandwich as a strong addition to its menu and used the name-based promotion as a way to introduce it to more people.

"We're proud of this sub – the prime rib, the caramelized onions, the top-cut roll. Once people try it, we think it earns its place among the best steak subs out there," said Mike. "Sharing it with every Mike in America felt like a great way to kick things off."

The deal is available at participating restaurants nationwide while supplies last.

The featured Steak & Cheese Melt is a new menu item and includes:

  • USDA Choice prime rib, flame-seared

  • Brown sugar caramelized onions

The promotion is available at participating locations nationwide for one visit per qualifying guest on May 6. Availability may vary by restaurant.

Separately, Firehouse Subs notes that a portion of purchases supports the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, which has provided over $107 million in funding to first responders across North America.
