Ocinet, Inc. has issued a recall for its “…And Kimchi” branded sliced kimchi after discovering the products contain undeclared fish in the form of anchovies.
The recall affects multiple sizes of the product sold in clear plastic jars with red “…And Kimchi” branding. Impacted UPC codes include 8541200408 for the 126 oz size, 8651200409 for the 63 oz size, and 8541200411 for the 30 oz size.
The company warns that individuals with fish allergies or sensitivities could face serious or life-threatening reactions if the product is consumed.
The kimchi was distributed to six Zion Market locations across California, Georgia, and Texas, including stores in San Diego, Irvine, Los Angeles, Buena Park, Duluth, and Lewisville.
- Zion Market - 8330 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA 92111

No illnesses have been reported so far. The issue came to light after it was determined that the packaging did not disclose the presence of fish. Distribution has been paused while the company works to correct the labeling problem.
Customers who purchased the recalled kimchi can return it to the store where it was bought for a full refund. Those with questions are encouraged to contact their local Zion Market or reach out directly to Ocinet, Inc. via email.
