Whataburger is bringing sweet heat to the summer menu with the arrival of the new Hot Honey Crisp Whatachick’n Sandwich, launching June 2 for a limited time.
The seasonal sandwich starts with a hand breaded Whatachick’n filet layered with creamy red pepper cheddar cheese spread and topped with hot honey infused with chili crisp. Everything comes tucked inside a soft potato bun for a mix of crunchy, creamy, sweet, and spicy flavors in every bite.
Whataburger says the sandwich aims to deliver a balance of savory chicken, rich cheddar flavor, and lingering heat from the chili crisp hot honey. The chain is clearly tapping into the ongoing hot honey craze, but with an extra layer of texture and spice from the chili crisp addition.
According to Chief Marketing Officer Scott Hudler, the sandwich was created for fans chasing their “next flavor obsession,” pairing sweetness, heat, and crunch in a way that feels unmistakably Whataburger.
The Hot Honey Crisp Whatachick’n Sandwich will be priced at $7.99 on its own, while a combo with fries and a medium drink goes for $10.99, although prices may vary by location.
The limited time sandwich joins Whataburger’s summer lineup starting June 2 at participating locations nationwide.
