Applebee's is bringing back its annual "Squeeze Out Childhood Cancer" fundraiser, with 50 cents from every new Lemon Berry Sunshine beverage sold going to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).
Running from July 13 through August 30, the campaign supports childhood cancer research and family programs through ALSF. Applebee's aims to raise more than $1.5 million this year as part of its 22-year partnership with the organization.
The new Lemon Berry Sunshine features a refreshing lemonade-based beverage available at participating Applebee's restaurants for dine-in and To Go orders. Guests can also support the fundraiser by adding digital lemon donations of $1, $5, $10, or $20 when ordering online or through the Applebee's app.
Since the partnership began in 2005, Applebee's has raised more than $20 million for ALSF, helping fund pediatric cancer research and support programs for families affected by childhood cancer.
During the campaign, Applebee's restaurants nationwide will also become "Lemonade Stands" to raise awareness and encourage guests to support the cause.
