Khong Guan Corporation is recalling select bags of Glutinous Rice Balls with Black Sesame Filling because the product may contain undeclared peanuts.
The recall affects 14.1-ounce bags with UPC 6-908791-000053 and a date code of 10/19/2027. The product was sold through Weee!, Xin Wang Market, Garden Fresh Farmer's Market, and Boss Supermarket in California, Hawaii, New Jersey, and Texas, as well as through online retailers.
The recall was issued after a customer reported that the product appeared to contain peanuts, even though peanuts were not listed on the packaging. People with a peanut allergy or severe sensitivity could face a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat the recalled product.
No illnesses have been reported.
