7-Eleven Partners With Ibotta to Add Digital Offers to Loyalty Apps

7-Eleven is partnering with Ibotta to bring digital product offers to the 7-Eleven, 7NOW, and Speedway apps across more than 11,500 U.S. store locations.

Through the partnership, shoppers will be able to find and use Ibotta-powered offers directly inside the 7-Eleven and Speedway apps. Rewards will be added to customers’ 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards loyalty accounts after eligible purchases are completed.

The program covers consumer packaged goods offers, excluding age-restricted products, and gives brands a way to connect with shoppers through digital promotions.

New option for brands and shoppers

Ibotta said the partnership will allow consumer brands to measure promotions based on verified purchases. The company’s Ibotta Performance Network already provides similar services for grocery and delivery businesses.

“Joining with Ibotta gives CPG brands a leading performance-based solution inside one of the most powerful loyalty programs in convenience retail,” Yaqub Baiani, chief product officer at 7-Eleven, said in a statement.

Ibotta CEO and founder Bryan Leach said the partnership expands the company’s digital offer platform into the convenience store market.

Offers available through 7-Eleven apps

Customers will be able to clip available offers before shopping in stores, purchasing fuel, or placing delivery orders through the 7NOW app.

The companies said the partnership is designed to give shoppers more savings opportunities while helping brands better understand the results of their promotions.

Ibotta operates the Ibotta Performance Network, which connects brands with shoppers through digital offers. The company said consumers have earned more than $2.9 billion through the network since 2012.

7-Eleven operates, franchises, or licenses more than 13,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada, including 7-Eleven and Speedway locations.
