Chipotle Launches New Cilantro Lime Sauce in the US and Canada


Chipotle Mexican Grill is adding a fresh new topping with the launch of Cilantro Lime Sauce, available for a limited time starting March 19, 2026, at locations across the U.S. and Canada.

The new sauce is made fresh daily in restaurants and features a mix of hand-chopped cilantro, lime juice, roasted jalapeños, Mexican spices, and sour cream. It delivers a creamy texture with bright citrus flavor and a mild kick.

Like the rest of Chipotle’s menu, it contains no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.

Chipotle says the Cilantro Lime Sauce was its top-performing sauce in test markets, where it saw significantly higher order rates compared to previous sauce launches.

The recipe was developed by culinary analyst Danny Boyzo, who started as a crew member at Chipotle in 2019 before moving into menu development.

To promote the launch, Chipotle Rewards members can get a free side or topping of Cilantro Lime Sauce with the purchase of an entrée on March 19, 2026.

You will need to use the code SOFRESH when ordering through the Chipotle app or website. The offer is valid for one day only at participating locations.

The new sauce is designed to pair with any menu item, including burritos, bowls, tacos, and salads, giving you another way to customize your order for a limited time.
