Smucker’s Unveils First Jar Redesign in Nearly 30 Years, Rolling Out This Spring
Smucker's is giving its classic fruit spread jars a fresh new look for the first time since the 1990s. The updated design is set to start hitting store shelves this spring.
The redesign keeps familiar elements but makes them more noticeable and modern. The goal is to make flavors easier to spot and give the jars a brighter, more eye-catching look.
Here’s what’s changing:
The signature gingham pattern is staying and expanding. It now appears on both the lid and the front label instead of just the lid
Each flavor gets its own bold, vibrant color to help you quickly find what you want
Fruit images on the label are larger and more prominent
Despite the updated look, nothing inside the jar is changing. The ingredients, flavor, and quality remain the same as before, the company said in a press release.
The new packaging leans into the brand’s nostalgic feel while making it more suited for today’s shelves and everyday use.
You can expect to start seeing the redesigned jars roll out nationwide throughout spring 2026.
