Subway Offers Free Footlong Upgrade for Meatball Monday on National Meatball Day

Subway is marking National Meatball Day on March 9 with a one-day promotion tied to its regular “Meatball Monday” deal.
The chain is aiming to sell 1 million meatballs in a single day and is calling the event “Million Meatball Monday.”
On March 9, you can order a six-inch Meatball Sub as part of Subway’s Sub of the Day or Meal of the Day and upgrade it to a footlong for free.
The offer is available at participating U.S. locations and requires you to ask for the upgrade when ordering in store.
With the deal, you can have a footlong Meatball Sub for the Sub of the Day starting price of $4.99 (plus tax and any add-ons).
Subway’s existing daily value lineup includes:
Sub of the Day: Six-inch subs starting at $4.99 (prices may vary by location).
Meal of the Day: A six-inch sub for $6.99 or a footlong for $9.99 with a choice of two cookies or chips and a small fountain drink.
For the March 9 promotion, ordering a six-inch Meatball Sub through either deal allows you to upgrade to a footlong at no extra charge.
The free upgrade offer is limited to one per order, available in store only, and cannot be combined with other promotions.
Add-ons cost extra and prices may vary by location.
The promotion is scheduled for March 9, 2026 only at participating U.S. restaurants. You can also check the Subway app or website for participating locations and additional deals.
