General Mills is bringing bold new flavors to the snack aisle with a lineup of Gushers, Fruit by the Foot, and Fruit Roll-Ups inspired by viral sweet, sour, and spicy food trends circulating across TikTok and Instagram.
Leading the launch are two new candy aisle additions: Gushers Super Sour and Gushers Sweet & Fiery.
Gushers Super Sour comes in blueberry grape, mixed berry, and raspberry lemonade flavors for an extra tart take on the classic fruit snack.
Meanwhile, Gushers Sweet & Fiery combines hot mango and spicy watermelon flavors with the brand’s signature juicy center for a sweet-and-spicy experience. The product revives the concept of the brand’s earlier spicy varieties from the 2010s with a stronger heat level this time around.
The rollout also includes several new fruit snack varieties:
- Gushers Lemonade Mix featuring pink lemonade, limeade, blue raspberry lemonade, and cherry limeade flavors
- Fruit by the Foot Splitz with peach and blueberry dual-flavor rolls that can be pulled apart
- Fruit Roll-Ups Rainbow Sherbet combining raspberry, lemon, and orange creamsicle flavors in one roll
All of the new products are made without colors from artificial sources.
According to General Mills, the new flavors are inspired by consumers experimenting with snack mashups online, especially combinations that mix sweet, sour, and spicy flavors.
Gushers Super Sour and Gushers Sweet & Fiery are now available in the candy aisle at Target stores, while the additional varieties are rolling out at retailers nationwide.
