Louisiana Fish Fry is teaming up with Trombone Shorty on a new seafood seasoning blend called the Bayou Beat Shorty Shaker.
Inspired by New Orleans flavors and culture, the all-purpose seasoning combines citrus, savory herbs, and Cajun spice into a blend meant for seafood boils, grilled dishes, fries, wings, and more.
According to Trombone Shorty, the seasoning was created to capture the “soul” and rhythm of New Orleans cooking while giving home cooks an easy way to bring Big Easy flavor into their kitchens.
The Bayou Beat Shorty Shaker can be used as a finishing seasoning, mixed into melted butter for stovetop or oven seafood boils, or sprinkled onto vegetables and side dishes.
Louisiana Fish Fry says the launch comes as more consumers embrace easy-to-make seafood boils and bold seasoning blends at home, especially among younger cooks looking for convenient flavor-packed options.
The Baton Rouge-based brand developed the blend with direct input from Trombone Shorty, tying the seasoning to the flavors and dishes he grew up with in New Orleans.
The Bayou Beat Shorty Shaker is now available at retailers nationwide as well as online through Amazon, Walmart, and Louisiana Fish Fry’s website.
