Panda Express is bringing back one of its most requested limited-time menu items as Hot Orange Chicken returns to restaurants nationwide.
Starting July 11, 2026, the spicy version of the chain's iconic Orange Chicken will be available at all 2,500-plus Panda Express locations while supplies last, arriving just ahead of National Orange Chicken Day on July 15.
Hot Orange Chicken keeps the signature orange sauce fans know while adding a much bigger kick with six times more crushed chili than the original recipe. The dish also includes a half-cup of scorched dried chilies, the same ingredient used in Panda Express' Kung Pao Chicken.
The fiery take on Orange Chicken first became a viral favorite among fans, ranking among the most requested limited-time returns on Panda Express social media channels.
Panda Express' Original Orange Chicken remains one of the brand's most popular menu items, accounting for about one-third of entrées sold. The company served 148 million pounds of Orange Chicken in 2025.
Hot Orange Chicken is available at the same price as other Panda Express entrées and can be ordered in restaurants, online, or through the Panda Express app while supplies last.
