
New York City is getting a new steak showdown this fall as the RARE Steak Championship makes its debut at Industry City in Brooklyn.
Taking place Thursday, September 10, 2026, the culinary competition and food festival will bring together more than 25 New York restaurants and steakhouses for an evening of steak tastings, cocktails, and live entertainment.
Presented by Buckhead Meat & Seafood and produced by DiningOut Media + Events, RARE Steak Championship invites chefs to compete across two categories: Traditional Steak and Creative Steak. Restaurants will serve their signature steak creations as guests sample dishes and vote for the People's Choice winner, while judges select the overall champions.
The event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature unlimited steak tastings, premium spirit samples, signature cocktails, live music, and access to some of the city's top steak-focused restaurants in one location.

VIP ticket holders will also get access to the Surf Seafood Challenge, a separate competition featuring seafood-focused restaurants, chef demonstrations, premium tastings, specialty cocktails, and exclusive lounge areas.
Ticket options include General Admission, First Taste with early entry, and VIP Experience packages. Tickets are available now through the RARE Steak Championship website, with introductory pricing available for a limited time.
The RARE Steak Championship previously held sold-out events in Atlanta and Houston before expanding to New York City.
